This recipe of Pav Bhaji is termed special bcause it is cooked withoutnonions and garlic. Usually on occassions like, Fasting during festivals, you cannot use garlic & onion. Turns out it is as good as the pav bhaji masala with onions. Another special thing about this recipe is I have used raw bananas, instead of the regular potatoes.
Ingredients:
1) 2 cooking/raw bananas (boiled)
2) Half cup peas( matar), (boiled)
3) 4 Tomatoes (two for puree and the other two chopped)
4) Pav Bhaji Masala (2 tbsp)
5) Coriander powder (1 Tbsp)
6) Mirchi powder (2 tspn)
7) Hing (quarter tspn)
8) Salt (to taste)
9) Coriander leaves (for garnish)
Procedure:
1) Heat oil in a pan and add hing to it,
2) Next, add chopped tomatoes and cook it for a while. Later, add tomato puree.
3) Then add Mirchi powder, coriander powder, Pav Bhaji masala.
4) Peel the bananas, mash them and the boiled peas also and put them into the mixture.
5) Add salt, little water and boil for a while.
6) Turn the stove off. Take the bhaji masala into another container and garnish with coriander leaves. Special Pav Bhaji masala is ready to eat. (With Pav ofcourse!)
